| The Project From Hell I saw an idea similar to this one in one of those "Quick and Easy Decorating" books. I modified the idea to suit my tastes and set out, to learn that this wasn't a quick job, and it wasn't easy. Well, to be fair, it wasn't TOO difficult either. But it involves a lot of different steps, and each step takes a very, very long time. Oh, the grommet holes can be a bit difficult to make, but they don't require a lot of skill, exactly.
I had a party a few days after I finally finished the paper shades, and everyone, except my sister Jennie, liked them.
I had a few people ask me if I would make a set for them. I said, "No. Anything else, sure, I'd be glad to. But
you're on your own for this one." My friend Brenda even went so far as to give me some cool paper, so I could make a set
for her. Paper's in the rafters in my basement, sorry.
I suppose, though, it's cool to get that kind of reaction from everyone. Everyone except my sister Jennie, anyway. But
at least that's one person to whom I don't have to say no.
