What a blessing as we got the news that you were on the way!
I could hardly wait to kiss and hug you, and every day I prayed.
You were my little Lola and I hoped you'd be a girl...
go shopping, buy dresses, do lunch and have a whirl!

And on the day you were to come, our eyes filled up with tears.
You left us before we could kiss and laugh or ever hold you dear.
For whatever reason our hearts are broken, we can never say,
because Catherine, my sweet pea,
you were the one who got away.

Even though you passed this way for very brief a time,
you are in my heart and in my soul and will never leave my mind.

I will love you forever.
