| The Bean Tray. I bought the tray and the stain because Glen and I helped Tina's sister move to a cool studio apartment on Pine Street in Philadelphia. Anyway, Tina's sister served coffee on a really cool dark wood tray, with a cool screen bottom. And I thought "Hmmm, I could make one of those." I had these old funky textured wallpaper samples taking up space in the basement and I figured even if I could eliminate just one sheet of it, it would help me on my way to a cleaner basement. Aaah, delusion.
So I sat down at the kitchen table -- the light is better there than in the basement -- with my supplies: tray, stain, glue, wallpaper
sample. I cut the wallpaper down to size, and I happened to look up for a minute, and I saw the jar of beans sitting on the rangetop.
I put the wallpaper samples to the side, and now, instead of taking up space in the basement, they're in some other pile of papers, somewhere
else in the house. Which really, is quite unfortunate, but now I have this really cool bean tray on my rangetop, instead of the jar of beans. | Materials and Tools. Some beans Some wood stain A tray Glue Varnish
