Angus
When we first looked at this house, in July 2004, Angus showed up that very day. He jumped all over us excitedly...he KNEW we would take him in. Nearly every time we came up to Trenton to work on the house, Angus was waiting, or would arrive shortly after we did. A few times, he snuck into the house, and we'd find him passed out on the bathroom rug, or worse (but funnier), in Jim's bed (Jim is the former owner). Though we didn't tell Jim that we'd found Angus sleeping on his bed, Jim didn't take the king-sized bed with him when he moved. He placed it in the backyard, and we figured we'd call the city to have them pick it up on the next garbage day. Only, we had a couple weeks worth of sorting and unpacking to do, so the bed stayed in the yard for a bit. Angus slept on top of it, propped up against the fence; and while he wasn't sleeping, he'd watch the world.

In October 2004, we brought him in, got him neutered (his name, by the way, is a nod to the lead singer of AC/DC), and tested for the feline nasties. He passed his tests, but unfortunately, every time he saw Simon and Monkey, he'd go on a wilding spree. It's unfortunate, because he's nearly twice as big as they are. So he spends most of his time upstairs in solitary.

Since Platooski came along, and then shortly later, Crabcake, Angus has been a bit too worn out to beat on Simon and Monkey. He's an angel with the kittens, cuddling with them, cleaning them, but in his heart, he still wants to kill Simon and Monkey, particularly Monkey. We're working on him. He's a good boy, otherwise.
